Soon, paid versions of Apple Mail, Podcasts and Stocks?

Although the iPhone is Apple's main source of revenue, the firm also relies heavily on services. And currently, it already offers several paid subscriptions to its users, such as Apple Arcade, Apple TV+, or even Apple News+.

In 2020, Apple enriched its services by presenting two new subscriptions:Apple Fitness+etApple One. And normally, it should continue to offer new services in 2021 and 2022.

What will be the new Apple services?

At the moment, it is difficult to predict what the next services that the Cupertino company will launch will be. However, an article recently published by our colleagues at Apple Insider provides a clue.

This article relays a research note reportedly published by Loup Venture which suggests that Apple should seek to create new paid services based on apps that are already pre-installed on the iPhone and are available for free.

So, for example, there could be an Apple Podcasts+ subscription, a Mail+ subscription or even a Mail+ subscription. For example, the firm could offer a paid version of Apple Podcasts in exchange for access to original content.

Mail+, for its part, could provide access to more features for managing emails, for example for managing the inbox, or for automating certain tasks.

A Bourse+ subscription, for its part, could offer a service similar to those of the Robinhood or Wealthfront applications, which help users invest.

According to Apple Insider, the note would also imagine how Apple could offer new paid services from apps such as Maps or Health.

Apple services are growing

At the moment, this is not official information and everything should therefore be considered with caution. But in any case, what seems clear is that Apple should continue to focus on its services, whose revenues continue to grow.

Moreover, in 2020, when iPhone sales were affected by the pandemic, services (and wearables) were able to compensate. On the other hand, to promote these services, Apple can count on a number of iPhones in use which continues to increase.

According to an analyst, the Cupertino firmwould have crossed the billion user markof iPhone last year. And Apple's share of the computer market (on which its services can also be used) should also increase thanks to new Macs that use Apple Silicon chips instead of Intel chips.
