The browser that conquered Android comes to iOS

This browser, which was very successful on Android, is finally available on iOS. The browser offering on the App Store is well-stocked, one might wonder about the benefit of offering a new one to iOS users. Indeed,Safari is suitable for the greatest number of people, and for others, there is notably Google Chrome, Firefox, or even Opera. However, this does not seem sufficient given that many iPhone and iPad users have been asking Jon von Tetzchner for a while for an iOS and iPadOS version of his famous Vivaldi browser.

Opera's legacy

Vivaldi doesn't come out of nowhere. In 2011, Jon Von Tetzchner left Opera for a new project. He wanted to create a new, unique browser that was both powerful andfully customizable, from there Vivaldi was born.

As a reminder, the application has been available on Mac for a while nowand enjoyed great success. But the user experience is not the same between a phone and a computer, its success on Mac is no guarantee that it will be the same on iPhone and iPad. On the other hand, on Android, the browser is one of the best rated in the Google Play Store with around50,000 reviews giving it an average rating of 4.6 stars.A similar note to Opera.

But what are its advantages?

Vivaldi is ideal for advanced users, professionals and more specifically developers. What makes it unique istotal controlthat it allows for navigation, thanks to itsmany customization options. Among them, tab management which can be adjusted as you wish. The browser also has a built-in ad blocker, note-taking functionality, and a reading list. It is also possible to switch between search engines very easily, and to top it off, it supports extensions.

Clearly, if you are the type who likes to be able to personalize everything, go for it!
