It is atChartresthat Bouygues
Telecom inaugurated last February, its4G+. THE
Lyonnais (but not all...see below) will be happy to learn that
the telephone operator now offers this evolution of 4G in
the capital of Gaul. With its boosted 4G, Bouygues Telecom
promises flow rates of up to nearly300 Mb/s. As
comparison, the theoretical speed of classic 4G is announced at 150 Mb/s (1.9
Mb/s for 3G):
Obtaining such a flow rate is made possible thanks toaggregation
of 3 bandsfrequencies (1800 MHz, 2600 MHz, 800 MHz) with a
spectrum width of 40 MHz, which makes it possible to obtainspeeds of
unrivaled data transfer.
Bouygues Telecom is like thisthe only French operator to use 3
bands, while competitors use 2 (800 MHz and 2.6 GHz
for Orange and SFR, 1,800 MHz and 2.6 GHz for Free).
The operator plans to accelerate the deployment in the coming weeks
4G+ in Marseille, then in part of Paris. In 2016, Bouygues plans
to expand this serviceto cities of more than 400,000
habitants.
The fact remains that this technology requires being equippedof a mobile
category 9 compatible. Bouygues mentions, on this point, the Galaxy
S6 Edge + de Samsung. The iPhone 6s and previous are not
compatible, with a category 6 modem.
We must now strongly hope that Applewill evolve its chip
cellular connection for the next iPhone 7if we want to take advantage
of these new features beforearrival
of 5G…
