Announced without
precise date for this month of December, it is to everyone's surprise that
Chrono Triggerjust arrived on theApp Store.
Certainly one of the most cult games in the history of RPGs, due to its
countless qualities but also its rarity in our country, Chrono Trigger has
been completely readapted to the tactile interface offered by the iPhone and iPod
Touch. No iPad version is available to date and is not even
announced.
Released in 1995 on Super Nes in the USA and on Super Famicom in Japan, Chrono
Trigger took fourteen years to arrive in France, for the DS version
released in 2009. It's this version, with the unreleased "Dimensional Vortex"
and the “Forgotten Sanctuary,” which was adapted today by Square.
As a reminder, Chrono Trigger is a Japanese RPG in the purest style of
genre, very similar in principle to Secret of Mana or the Final saga
Fantasy. He was particularly noted for the quality of his script,
its magnificent graphic aesthetic, its time travels and its score
memorable musical composed by a heavyweight duo: Nobuo Uematsu
(Final Fantasy) and Yasunori Mitsuda (Chrono Cross, Xenogears). On trouve aussi
in the credits the genius Akira Toriyama, father of the Dragon Ball saga, as well as
Yuji Horse (Dragon Quest).
The game is available entirely in French.
