Five new Apple products that could arrive in 2020

Apple has a predictable release schedule for new models of its existing products like the iPhone or Apple Watch. In 2020, we can expect several new iPhones in September, as well as a new Apple Watch. There will also likely be new iPads (including Pro models).

But we know from various reports from reliable sources like the Bloomberg newspaper or analyst Ming-Chi Kuo, that the Cupertino company is working on various new products, some of which could see the light of day next year.

AirTag: Apple's object tracker

We could see quite a few traces of Apple's future object tracker in the various betas of iOS 13. This onewould be called the AirTag, and it would make it possible to find objects to which this Apple tracker is attached.

The advantage of Apple's solution compared to existing alternatives on the market is the use of the enormous number of iPhones and iPads in circulation to help find a lost object. It remains to be seen the price and release date of this product which could take place in the first half of 2020.

MacBook with an ARM processor designed by Apple

With the iPhone, Apple is gradually developing its own components, such as the AX processor, the graphics chip, and now also the modem chip with thetakeover of the modem division of Intel.

For the Mac, it started with the T2 chip which encrypts the contents of the hard drive and controls different aspects of the MacBook. The next expected step would be a MacBook that would abandon Intel chips to migrate to an ARM chip designed internally by Apple.

The transition from an x86 architecture from Intel to ARM, however, would not be without difficulty, because the entire ecosystem of MacOS apps will have to follow. This will take some time and cause compatibility issues during the transition.

In 2020, we also expect Apple to integrate the new Magic Keyboard from the 16-inch MacBook Pro to other MacBooks, as well as perhaps Face ID.

A bundle for services

2019 was the year of services for Apple, with the launch of several services such as News+, Apple TV+ and Apple Arcade. We know that the Cupertino company will continue to add new content to Apple TV+ and Apple Arcade, but we would likethat Apple launches a bundle offer.

Indeed, an offer that brings together several Apple services at an attractive price could provide a nice boost to Apple's services. Competitors already offer it like Amazon Prime.

Apple could, for example, offer a subscription offer that brings together Apple Music (with family sharing), Apple TV+, Apple Arcade and additional iCloud storage for €20 to €25. We'll see what happens in 2020, at least according to a recent rumor,Apple plans a bundle with all its services.

Augmented reality glasses

According to various rumors, Apple will integrate a new 3D sensor in the next iPad Pro, which should make it possible to obtain a more faithful 3D model of the environment, for augmented reality purposes. This sensor would also arrive in September, in the next high-end or Pro models.

The objective being, among other things, to boost the use of augmented reality, which is still far from being mainstream. However, there is a future product that Apple has been working on for some time and which could take augmented reality to the next level: connected glasses.

According to various reports, Apple is working on several prototypes, including a relatively lightweight model which would mainly serve as a display and would be connected wirelessly to the iPhone, which would take care of all the calculations. It is possible that this product will arrive in 2020, but in our opinion, it is still a little early, and may not see the light of day until 2021 or 2022.

Two new Apple TVs (and remote control)

The latest Apple TV 4K works great for displaying video content on 4K TVs, but also for using different video streaming services.

However, with the launch of Apple Arcade and support for PS4 and Xbox One controllers in tvOS 13, the latest Apple TV lacks the power to properly run demanding games on a 4K TV.

As a result, Apple could offer two versions of the Apple TV 4K, a new version intended for viewing content on the television screen.

And another more expensive version with more powerful components, which would be aimed at gamers and would allow various premium games from the console and PC universe to be played with maximum graphics.

A new, redesigned remote control wouldn't be a luxury either, because in the opinion of many users the current remote control is one of Apple's worst products.
