What makes the difference on iPhone 11
The screen
The main advantage of an iPhone 11 compared to an iPhone SE 3 is obviously its screen. In fact, with the iPhone 11 a panel of6.1 inchesdiagonal while the iPhone SE of 2022 is limited to4.7 inches. This is not much, especially if you plan to watch a series for several hours for example. And for those who are wondering, no, the resolution is not better than on iPhone SE 3. It's the same: 1,792 x 828 pixels at 326 ppi density.

No ultra wide angle on iPhone SE 3
Comparatively, the iPhone 11 is undoubtedly a real camera phone with its two rear lenses, where the third generation iPhone SE only offers a single sensor on the back. This is the same wide angle of12 MPx(ƒ/1.8) than for the iPhone 11, but the latter is entitled to an ultra wide-angle with an additional ƒ/2.4 aperture.
Furthermore, Night mode will make the difference in low light on iPhone 11, but it is absent on iPhone SE 3. For images, other advantages are still missing:Photographic styles, 2x optical zoom out, audio zoom and4K videosat the front. Battery life: iPhone 11 vs iPhone SE (3rd generation)
During our test of the iPhone 11 and iPhone SE 2022, we noticed that the iPhone 11 holds a charge longer. Allow a good half day, a result that the third generation iPhone SE may not exceed. This is also confirmed in the official figures, where Apple speaks of a limit of3 p.m.in video playback for iPhone SE 3 but5 p.m.by comparing the same usage on iPhone 11. Be careful though: these figures were different for us and will probably also be different for you, depending on your habits.
Why choose iPhone SE 3?
For its price
Now that you know the strengths of the iPhone 11, it's time to compare them with the strengths of the iPhone SE 3. Starting with… its price, of course! Count529 euros“only”, which is the most affordable price you will find at Apple. Compared to the price of iPhone 11 (589 eurosto date), this amount therefore represents a difference of 60 euros. The economy climbs further if we take the price of the iPhone 11 when it was released; it was then set at 809 euros.
The iPhone SE 3 is more powerful than the iPhone 11
Yes, obviously, two years late, the iPhone 11 loses out. Its processorA13 Bionic, which is the same as inthe second generation iPhone SE, offers graphics 20% less fluid than with the chipA15 Bionicof the iPhone SE 3. This is also explained by the power of the Neural Engine, which can only capitalize on eight cores compared to sixteen on the iPhone SE 3.
For RAM, however, no difference: Apple offers4 Goin the iPhone SE 2022 and in the iPhone 11.
A version with more memory
If we compare the available iPhone 11 and iPhone SE (3rd generation) models, we see that each edition is available with 64 GB or 128 GB of storage. However, the iPhone SE 2022 is the only one that also offers a version with256 Gofrom memory. For what ? Because the iPhone 11 with the same capacity, which existed before, is no longer sold by Apple or manufactured by its suppliers.

To clarify, however, be aware that this difference is anecdotal. And this for several reasons. First of all, the iPhone 11 in 256 GB still exists at certain specialized resellers who have not sold all their stocks. Then, you should know that the iPhone SE 2 in 256 GB was also abandoned after a while. It is therefore possible that his successor will meet the same fate. Finally, the iPhone 11 has the possibility of increasing its storage capacity with an iCloud plan. No SD card, however, like on iPhone SE 3.
Two quite different designs
Logically, we must also compare the format of the iPhone 11 and the iPhone SE, even if their respective guidelines are quite close. The appearance with sharp edges only arrived with the iPhone 12.

To begin with, the iPhone 11 is decked out with anotchquite imposing at its top, which ultimately takes up quite a bit of space on the screen. But that's the price to pay for having much narrower borders than on the iPhone SE 3. The difference between the size/screen ratio of our two contenders thus reaches almost thirty square centimeters, which is really not negligible.
With its larger screen,the iPhone 11 is also the most imposing. Its dimensions, compared to those of the third generation iPhone SE, display more than an additional centimeter in height and a little less in width. The case is also thicker: there is a difference of 1 mm here, however, to the benefit of the iPhone SE 3. As for the weight, it is 194 g for the iPhone 11 compared to 144 g for the iPhone SE 3.

iOS 15, yes, but…
The iPhone 11 and the iPhone SE 3 are both compatible with iOS 15. But the iPhone SE 3 has this operating system as standard, where the iPhone 11 will have to be updated to take advantage of it. Indeed, as it is older, it was only entitled to iOS 13 when it was released. Moreover, this also means that it will beendured for less time. This is perhaps the explanation for its price, which has fallen significantly compared to its 2019 amount.

Face ID ou Touch ID

Our conclusion
In summary,the iPhone 11 clearly wins this comparison for us. Its major weaknesses, such as a less powerful processor and a higher price, should not make the difference given that iOS 15 is also available on this mobile and that the price only changes by 60 euros. Besides, if you were worried about your gaming sessions, the 4 GB of RAM equal to the iPhone SE and the joint software/hardware optimization should compensate.
Despite everything, theiPhone SEremains a serious choice for those looking for a realmobile compact, because the iPhone 11 may be too big for them. But this will be at the expense of an extraordinary photo experience to immortalize your vacation, and you will surely have to invest in an external battery during the trip.
