iPhone 13 Pro vs iPhone 13 in brief:
- for the photo: iPhone 13 Pro
- battery: equality
- screen: equality
- the most powerful: iPhone 13 Pro
- the cheapest: iPhone 13
1 – Screens
The iPhone 13 has a 6.1-inch screen, exactly like the iPhone 13. Only the iPhone 13 Pro, however, has an adaptive refresh rate, as does the standard brightness up to 1,000 nits to compare with the 800 nits of the “classic” iPhone 13. These are the only differences between the two panels. Moreover, note that iPhone 13 and iPhone 13 Pro are entitled to a resolution of 2,532 x 1,170 pixels or 460 ppi, with True Tone display so as not to damage the eyes and with a wide color gamut (P3).

On a daily basis, we can therefore say that the visual comfort offered with the iPhone 13 is approximately similar to that of the iPhone 13 Pro. But for a particularly minority and informed audience like gamers looking for high frame rates, then the iPhone 13 Pro will make the difference with its ProMotion technology at 120 frames per second. Others may not notice anything with the naked eye...

2 – Better images on iPhone 13 Pro
Front camera
Attention Instagram and Snapchat influencers: now is the time to compare the photo capabilities of the iPhone 13 and the iPhone 13 Pro. To begin, let's look at the case of the TrueDepth sensor. Installed at the top of the screen, this gives its shape to the notch and hides the hardware that allows Face ID to unlock iOS by recognizing your face. Here we are entitled to a 12 Mpx definition with ƒ/2.2 aperture and Cinematic mode to film like a pro.

The only difference from the iPhone 13 Pro is to benefit from ProRes recording up to 4K at 30 fps, or 1080p at 30 fps with only 128 GB of capacity. But truth be told, again it's unlikely that you really need it because reading content of this quality is not really democratized.

Back camera: iPhone 13 Pro vs iPhone 13
For the rear photo module, on the other hand, we see clear differences between iPhone 13 and iPhone 13 Pro. Indeed, as you can see by comparing the devices with the naked eye, the iPhone 13 Pro can count on an additional sensor. This is the telephoto lens (aperture ƒ/2.8 and zoom up to x15). So forget about capturing insects and other macro shots with the iPhone 13.

Another difference: Portraits in Night mode, which also do not work on iPhone 13. But given that it is still a fairly anecdotal tool, it is difficult to consider it as a real element of comparison. Except perhaps for the youngest, used to certain social networks and going out more at the end of the evening.

3 – Comparison of autonomy: the surprise
4 – The design is different
When we compare the exterior appearance of the iPhone 13 with that of the iPhone 13 Pro, we immediately see that the colors available for each edition are not identical. With the iPhone 13, it will therefore beVert, pink, blue,Midnight, red or Starlight againstAlpine green,Argent,Or,GraphiteetAlpine bluefor the iPhone 13 Pro.
Additionally, the iPhone 13 Pro has a stainless steel frame while the iPhone 13 is surrounded by aluminum. But in all cases, a protective shell is required in the event of an impact. Please note that these accessories, from Apple, cost the same price for iPhone 13 as for iPhone 13 Pro. To finish with the format, you should know that the iPhone 13 Pro is 30 grams heavier compared to the iPhone 13.

5 – Performances : iPhone 13 vs iPhone 13 Pro
Processor
Be careful, this is probably where everything is at stake. Indeed, the iPhone 13 and the iPhone 13 Pro are certainly both powered by an Apple A15 Bionic chip, but there is an additional GPU core on the iPhone 13 Pro. For the rest, it will be a six-core CPU and the latest generation Neural Engine with sixteen cores. A monster, especially coupled with a proprietary OS optimized and synchronized with it. See below for the power comparison.
RAM comparison
Second key element to gauge the speed of a mobile: the quantity of RAM. It is different between the iPhone 13 and the iPhone 13 Pro, with 4 GB for the first against 6 GB for the second. That's 50% more, which isn't nothing if you plan to heat up the beast with fairly demanding Apple Arcade titles. Or if you plan to open several applications at the same time, and regularly juggle between them without losing the chance to see their content open quickly.

iPhone 13 Pro vs iPhone 13 : les benchmarks
All this is confirmed with simple numerical comparisons. The statistics obtained with specialized measurement apps are as follows:
- 4,658 points in multi-core on Geekbench 5 for the iPhone 13 Pro vs iPhone 13 at 4,496 points

- 3,029 points with 3DMark Wild Life Extreme for iPhone 13 Pro vs iPhone 13 at 2,476 points
However, keep in mind that with typical use (office, communications, surfing) you will probably not differentiate between iPhone 13 and iPhone 13 Pro. It’s really the apps that consume the most energy that will capitalize on the best results from the iPhone 13 Pro.

7 – iPhone 13 vs iPhone 13 Pro: our opinion and a few more clues
We have finally reached the end of this comparison, which allows us to nuance the differences between iPhone 13 and iPhone 13 Pro as their similarities are more numerous. But then, who should select which mobile? To begin with, the iPhone 13 Pro wins hands down for lovers of quality shots with its telephoto lens. Note also that it also includes a LiDAR, very useful for augmented reality apps and which echoes the more efficient performance of the processor + RAM duo for gamers.
The iPhone 13, however, presents itself as excellent value for money, perhaps even the best you can find in this range. It can actually cost less than a thousand euros and ultimately doesn't change that much at first glance (it's especially on the inside that there are differences). In addition, the absence of a 1 TB version is compensated by access to the paid iCloud plans offered by Apple and which are comparatively more affordable than physical storage.

Otherwise, the screen offers almost the same quality on iPhone 13 and iPhone 13 Pro. Add to this that both smartphones are equipped with the same operating system, namely iOS 15, and without any particular need you will be able to confuse them like two drops of water. But the cheaper price must be qualified with a depreciation often observed to have less impact on the Pro ranges at Apple. Finally, last insight: the repairability score: 6.4/10 on iPhone 13 vs iPhone 13 Pro at 6.8/10.
