Concept: what could the iPhone Fold look like?

For quite a while now, many rumors have reached us about the possible creation of aiPhone Fold, a smartphone with a foldable screen. This model is still very far from being released and the latest information we have suggests the end of 2023 or 2024 as a possible launch date.

The notch could be removed

This does not prevent enthusiasts from imagining what it could look like in the image from AppleInsider which published several visuals. We can notably see an iPhone Fold with flat sides like what already exists for the iPhone 13. Another notable element: the notch has been removed. The latest noises that have reached us suggest its disappearance and it is therefore very possible that it is no longer there on this new smartphone with a foldable screen.

Our colleagues also specify on the basis of the various patents filed by the Cupertino company: “We expect Apple's foldable device to open and close without creases or seams on the screen. Fully closed, the device should be only slightly thicker than current iPhones, while open, it should be a similar size to the iPad mini.»

AppleInsiderfurther adds: “For Apple's first foldable device, expect it to be an iPhone that can simply open and close. Beyond that, Apple might not want to spoil the experience with experimental features or hardware additions.»

It is of course too early to see clearly, even if this new model clearly does not lack interest. If Apple decided to take the plunge and launch into iPhones with foldable screens, there is no doubt that this market, which is gradually taking off, could explode. All that remains is to wait many months before knowing more.
