Corsair bought the iPhone application EpocCam

What would you do if your Mac or iPad camera died minutes before an important call with clients? This situation,more common than you think, can in fact be resolved becausethere is an app for that. You guessed it, it's EpocCam. The concept is simple: open the service on youriPhone, and the latter's sensor is then responsible for filming you.

The video stream is then transmitted directly to your personal computer. Most video conferencing applications are compatible, such as Microsoft Teams, OBS and eventhe much criticizedZoom, published in China and singled out for its security flaws.

An unknown amount

To date, we do not know how much the gaming accessories manufacturer paidCorsairto afford this startup. However, a makeover of the platform has already taken place for the occasion and it now integrates the software suite of the Californian manufacturer.

A new major asset for its growth on the NASDAQ. The company joined the New York Stock Exchange last August, during aIPOestimated at one hundred million US dollars. To date, a share only costs less than $25.
