M4 MacBook Pros on sale before their announcement?

While the iPad has been thefirst Apple device to feature an M4 chip, the MacBook Pro should be the next to be eligible. We recently shared with you the most probable predictions concerning the next Apple conference, which should take placeat the end of the month.

Apple should take advantage of this event to present its new Macs, including the MacBook Pro M4. Speaking of this device, a Russian user even managed to get their hands on a copy. While there is no official trace of the MacBook Pro M4, Apple's future computer would have been seen on a LeBonCoin type announcement site.

A massive leak?

A Twitter account specializing in Apple news spotted surprising announcements on Avito, a Russian classified ads site.Several MacBook Pros equipped with the M4 chip were offered for sale there. The price displayed? About $7,500.

An unreleased MacBook Pro with the M4 chip could be bought for ~$7500 on... Avito

These ads have since been removed from the site. Avito prohibits the sale of “non-existent” products. But their brief appearance raises many questions. How did these devices end up in Russia? Is this a theft from a production plant? Or just an elaborate scam?

Credible details

The information provided in these announcements is consistent with previous rumors. The M4 MacBook Pros would feature16 GB of RAM and a 512 GB SSD. They sport a Space Black color and reportedly have three Thunderbolt ports instead of two.

Apple has obviously not commented on these leaks, especially since the firm has ceased all activity in Russia. Residents of the country are now forced to go through the gray market to take advantage of Apple devices. The fact that a Russian is in possession of a MacBook Pro M4 is surprising to say the least.

The firm should officially present its new laptopsby the end of October, with availability in early November.
