Like every
morning, at breakfast, I checked the night's news before starting the
day and I heard some terrible news. I am not talking about the election of
pope, nor even snow, no, I'm talking to you aboutthe shutdown of Google
Reader.
According to the search engine, the user base has become so
weak that it is no longer possible to maintain this service whichwill close
therefore its doors on July 1st:
Horror for those who, like me, had spent long periods of time
configure this tool which once in place proved very practical for
keep up to date thanks to RSS feeds from many sites.
Anyway, if closing Google Reader is a page that
turns, the developers of many applications based on this service will
also having to get back to work to find a solution
spare.
Google Reader is not the only one affected by this cleaning of
spring since Snapseed, the photo editing app will no longer be sold or
update on Mac and PC. The IOS and Android versions will continue, however.
to be offered free of charge.
