Apple could stop production of the iPhone 12 mini in the spring

The observation is quite clear, the iPhone 12s have generally sold very well since their release. However, this hides real disparities between the different models marketed by the Apple brand. So, last January, we already returned tothe notepublished by analysts at Morgan Stanley that Apple could reduce production of the iPhone 12 mini in order to be able to produce more iPhone 12 Pro.

A new iPhone 11 at a reduced cost in 2022?

This time it is the turn of an expert from JP Morgan, William Yang, to make his predictions. According to him, Apple plans to produce more iPhone 12 Pro Max, iPhone 12 Pro and even iPhone 11 to meet consumer expectations. Conversely, and given fairly low demand, the company could stop production of the iPhone 12 mini by the second quarter of 2021.

The author also provides other information and according to him, the Cupertino company could offer a renewed version of the iPhone 11 at a reduced cost in 2022. That same year, an iPhone SE 3 should also see the light of day in the first half of the year.

You have to take all this information with a grain of salt, but it makes a lot of sense. Echoes from supply chains have in the past suggested the success of the iPhone 12 Pro and Pro Max. The iPhone 12 mini's struggles were also noticeablefrom last November.
