A unique feature is coming with AirPods Pro 2

You probably know: when purchasing a pair of AirPods, Apple offers to print agravurefree on the wireless charging case. It is then possible to choose from a multitude of emojis, some of which are prohibited. If you wish, the manufacturer also offers all the letters of the alphabet, for example to personalize the device with your name.

With AirPods Pro 2, this solution gets even better. Indeed, during thepairingfrom the earbuds to an iPhone via Bluetooth, the animation that appears on the screen changes. Previously, you could recognize a simple image of the audio accessories in question, but this is now personalized: the chosen engraving appears on the case!

Soon also for the other models?

For now,it does not appear that other pairs of AirPods are affected. Apple, however, markets three. On the one hand the “classic” AirPods (without in-ear tips or active noise reduction) of the first and second generation and on the other handthe AirPods Max wireless headset. Engraving is offered on each of these products, again at no additional cost.

The appearance of the emoji when connecting to the iPhone works oniPhone 14, the iPhone 14 Plus, the iPhone 14 Pro and the iPhone 14 Pro Max but we have not been able to confirm its presence with older mobiles. However, it is very likely that this change is due to iOS 16, but this operating system is compatible with most of the other smartphones still in circulation from Cupertino.

Price and availability

AirPods Pro 2 are sold for 299 euros in mainland France. Resistant to water and perspiration, they are known to provide better support in moving ears than with classic AirPods. Count on up to six hours of listening time on a single charge,figures which it will however be difficult to achieve in all conditions as the tests have shown.

With much better sound quality than the first generation, AirPods Pro 2 are thebest performing pair of wireless headphonesthat Apple is developing. Noise cancellation is notably twice as effective as previously.
