France: another significant fine to punish Apple?

Almost a month ago, our country imposed a severe sanction on the manufacturer ofiPhone.The sum then amounted to 25 million euros. Behind this decision, an understandable motivation: the brand had slowed down the operation of its customers' mobiles by sending them an update which played bad tricks on their battery.

Several weeks later, everything suggests that the fight for respect for economic public order is now mainly focused on the work of GAFAM. Indeed, not onlyAlphabet is also in the sights of the institution regulating the European Tech market, but we have also just learned thatApplerisks being reprimanded again at home.

The reasons for the prosecution remain unclear

TheDGCCRF(Directorate General for Competition, Consumption and Fraud Repression), which answers directly to the Ministry of the Economy, is expected to announce this Monday the amount of a sizeable fine for Cupertino.
