The screen of this future iMac Pro would be equipped with mini-LED technology and a ProMotion refresh rate to save energy and make graphics smoother, advantages already available on the MacBook Pro with M1 Pro processor. The informant maintains herewhat Ross Young, a display expert, was already saying about a possible 27'' screen for this product.Dylandktgoes even further and also ensures that the iMac 2022 would have a design similar to the iMac 24'' and would feature Pro Display XDR technology. Everything would be surrounded by black, similar to the old iMacs now removed from the shelves.
On the performance side, we would be entitled toM1 Pro and M1 Max chips whose scores are already announced as very good. Everything could be supported by 16 GB of RAM (or even more?) and 512 GB of internal storage.
A very high price
Dylandkt assures that this iMac will cost “more than two thousand dollars“, or probably more than two thousand euros for us. An Ethernet socket would also still be included, while the fate of biometric unlocking remains uncertain.
Logically, we should also take the opportunity to see the return of the SD card port and the HDMI socket, already seen there too on the latest MacBook Pros. Of course, let us remember that all this is still only at the stage of supposition so that it is appropriate to consider this data with a pinch of salt.
Released next year?
Finally, let us add that the device should see the light of day in the first half of 2022. However, no keynote is planned for the moment, but this would make sense given that the 24-inch iMac will then start to date from about a year. The iMac Pro, for its part, was finally abandoned and is no longer available at certain specialized resellers but no longer at the Apple Store.
