It's called being overtaken on the wire.
razor! While we are waiting for the iPhone 6s during its very presentation
exactly in a week, the Chinese manufacturer Huawei has just unveiled
a smartphone equipped with a “Force Touch” screen, one of the features
planned for the 2015 range of smartphones from Apple.
This is the Huawei Mate S, a smartphone with a 5.5-inch screen (like
the iPhone 6 Plus) which will offer this technology. But for what
faire ?
While on Apple's side, the Force Touch screenshould
provide quick access to certain menus, on the Huawei side, it is
used in different forms.
For example, pressing "hard" at the base of the screen brings up
the current app management window. Strong pressure on part of a
photo triggers a zoom while an app even transforms the smartphone into
…swing! The screen detects the weight of the object placed on its surface.
The smartphone also has a fingerprint sensor located on
the rear, this offers a fairly original use since it becomes
touch control device to trigger a selfie, or to
Swipe photos without putting your finger on the screen.
Among the other differentiating aspects of this machine, we note the presence
a fast-charging battery, which with 10 minutes of charging, would allow
2 hours on the phone and is claimed to be 5 times faster to charge than the iPhone. Without
forget the support for two SIMs in order to be able to reconcile personal calls and
pros.
The Huawei Mate S is available in pink, champagne, gray and gold starting at 649
euros depending on the model and should be on sale in September.
A breath of fresh air coming from Asia! It will be interesting to
see how Apple uses Force Touch for its part: official response
