Afterarrival
of Flipboard on iPhone this morning, the day is placed under the sign of
lecture.
In fact, the applicationiBooks(
free here on the App Store), theeBook readerpropose
by Apple for iPhone and iPad, has just been updated to version
1.5.
This brings important new features such as night reading mode or
"full screen" reading (or almost) among others, here is the list of
new features in addition to the classic improvements in terms of stability and
performances :
- A new Theme is available:night reading
improves eye comfort for reading in the dark by displaying
white letters on a black background. - A so-called layoutfull screento avoid the
"distractions": in fact this hides the display of the upper banner with
the operator, the time and other information, this reduces requests
visual, but can't really be called "full screen" (like
rightly noted in the comments) - iBooks is now enhanced withadditional fonts
including Athelas, Charter, Iowan and Seravek. - Ofnew coversfor public domain books
are now available. - Theannotation palette is redesignedand simplifies the
choice of color for highlighted text.
It is logical to see Apple regularly evolve this application,
“readers” and others
Kindle Fire seen herepresenting an increasingly varied alternative to
the iPad in particular.
Happy with these new features?
