It's time to say goodbye to the iMac you know. Apple has indeed just unveiled a brand new model during this evening's keynote,which you can follow live right here. The main difference with the previous version concerns the format of the device, since this one no longer adopts the rounded back which made it so successful.
No, instead, Cupertino offers us a more upright shell, which more or less resembles an iPad Pro size XXL. But the case is not the only part to have been modified, because the charger - now magnetic - now includes an Ethernet port which avoids having to have multiple cables tangled on your desk. Powered by the M1 processor whose high-end performance has already been praised on the Mac mini, the new iMac will be sold for1 299 dollars(at least) from April 30, with deliveries around mid-May. With a 4.5K display, it has six speakers and a 1080p FaceTime HD camera.
It will be possible to pair a Magic Keyboard, also reissued, with aemoji key(great) and Touch ID, wireless of course. For charging, we can then use the four USB-C ports installed on the back, two of which are compatible with Thunderbolt.

The 7-core GPU version has a case with only 2 Thunderbolt/USB 4 ports and does not include Gigabit Ethernet. Both 8-core GPU versions include 2 Thunderbolt/USB 4 ports + 2 USB 3 ports and Gigabit Ethernet, as well as the new keyboard with Touch ID. They are also available in 7 finishing variations, compared to only 4 for the 7-core GPU version.
Orders will be possible fromnext April 30for deliveries from mid-May.
