Apple Tracker Reduces iPhone XR Sales Forecast

On the occasion of hislatest quarterly results, Apple had announced that the firm would no longer reveal the number of units sold for their products. This suggests, among other things, that iPhone sales could be less good in the coming quarters.

Here the most reliable analyst in the Apple universe, Ming-Chi Kuo, delivers a new report, withiPhone XR sales forecast downward.

Ming-Chi Kuo revises his initial figure of 100 million to70 millions d’iPhone XR. The analyst attributes this to several factors, such as competition from the Huawei Mate 20 in emerging countries, but also the lack of dual photo sensor coveted by users.

However, he believes that a certain number of users were moving towards the iPhone XS instead of the XR, or old models like the iPhone 8 or 7.

For the first quarter of 2019, Ming-Chi Kuo expects iPhone sales to decline compared to the previous year. A figure estimated at47-52 millionsof iPhones, compared to 52 million units sold in the first quarter of 2018.

This new report from Kuo echoes another recentyou journal Nikkei, where it was claimed that Apple had reduced production of the iPhone XR.
