Display of the iMac “Pro”
Ross Young (Display Supply Chain Consultants, DSCC) has just shared his new estimates for the next displays designed by Apple. To begin with, the analyst believes that that of the next iMac - which he callsPro, like other rumors previously- would be entitled to a twenty-seven-inch diagonal equipped with mini-LED technology.
This is the first time we have heard that such a choice would be made on a desktop computer from Cupertino. Its advantages are multiple, starting with more vibrant colors and better contrasts.Already seen on the iPad Pro range, this system is particularly attractive to the most demanding graphic designers and other lovers of high quality images.
The researcher also adds that this iMac would be entitled to ProMotion, namely a refresh rate with a variable rate of up to one hundred and twenty images per second present in particular on the iPhone 13 Pro Max and on the iPhone 13 Pro. Objective: save energy, with reduced frequency when there is no need for more. Some also consider this feature to be a good point for gaming, with smoother streaming.
iPhone
The press release published by Young also recalls that “many rumors” are betting on an iPhone 14 Pro without a notch with a punch instead, but it does not directly confirm the information. The expert, however, speaks of a better resolution, which makes sense given that few notable changes have taken place in this area recently.
A foldable smartphone would also be in the works, but still far from being ready for marketing.
iPad et MacBook
Soon OLED for tablets and laptops. As with other indices, this will only be verified according to official information that will be shared by the manufacturer.
Augmented reality
Apple's AR headset would have a high price (in fact, other rumors are already betting on more than a thousand euros), a consequence of the few sales expected according to Young. Figures to compare withthe 2.5 to 3.5 million units sold according to Ming-Chi Kuo.
Assumed schedule
For Young, the 27-inch iMac Pro would arrive by next spring. The case of 2022 is also mentioned for the augmented reality headset, while the folding panels would not be available for more than a year, or even up to three.
