It's more likely that this is an error and someone must have typed "iOS 17" instead of "iOS 16" when writing these pages. Moreover, the page titled “Information on iOS 17 security content” instead contains information on iOS 16, but not on the next version. In any case, this little accident is perhaps indicative of Apple's impatience.
Rumors are circulating about iOS 17
Note that if the firm has not done any teasing for this new version of iOS, some unofficial information is already circulating on the web.
