Apple which dominates in the
general public market, has always been more or less absent in the field of
the company, but in recent years, the Californian company
is working to change the situation, and it seems that it is starting to bear fruit
fruits. In an interview at the BoxWorks 2015 conference, Tim Cook revealed the
Apple's enterprise revenue for the last 12
month.
Professional market
He announced a figure of 25 billion dollars, which
represents 14% of Apple's revenue. Tim Cook says that the market for
the company "is not a hobby for Apple, but a separate business
whole".
Apple seeks to advance in the professional field through
partnerships with well-established companies like IBM and Microsoft.
Apple and Microsoft are in competition, but that doesn't stop them from
partner to offer better tools to their users, such as
shows the last Keynote where Microsoft took the stage to talk about
Office apps for the iPad Pro. On this subject, Tim Cook indicates that the era
of the rivalry with Microsoft is outdated, that Apple works with Microsoft
because that’s what customers want.
Regarding the partnership with IBM,this made it possible to launch a suite of applications intended for
companies.
With the arrival of the iPad Pro, Apple hopes that this tablet will be used
as a business productivity tool, and one might think that Apple
would be tempted to follow the path of Microsoft by merging its mobile system
(iOS) and its desktop system (OS X), but this is not the case.
This possibility was discussed during the interview with Tim Cook, and
he claimed thatApple has no plans to merge the two
systemscomputer and mobile, as this would detract from the experience
user according to him.
