Sharing Wi-Fi codes made easier in iOS 11

iOS 11 was presented
on stage last Monday at Apple's WWDC 2017 conference,
summarized here
, with quite a few new features. But as often, it is not
not possible for the speakers to show everything in a few hours
presentation. This is why, in the days following the conference, we learned one
a little more about small additions thanks to beta users.
Latest discovery, the ability to easily share a password
Wi-Fi with iOS 11:

Indeed, iOS 11 benefits from a privileged connection between iPhone devices,
iPad or Mac, making it possible to help connect to the same network
Wi-Fi. It works as follows:

  • Person A's iPhone is connected to home Wi-Fi
  • Person B would like to connect their iPad to the network, without knowing the word
    exceeds
  • The latter must try to connect, until having to return
    network password
  • If the two devices are near each other, the iPhone
already connected should receive a notification in the form of a window
appearing on the screen, informing that the iPad would like to join the network
Wi-Fi and asking the question of password sharing.
  • All you have to do is click on “Send” on the iPhone and this
notification, so that the password is automatically received and completed
in the corresponding field on the iPad side
  • That's it, the iPad is connected to the same Wi-Fi network

This can be very convenient, but only works with two devices,
iPad or iPhone under iOS, or Mac under the latest version of macOS, High
Sierra.

Otherwise, in the same genre, a little less practical, but more open, it
the app existsWifi Widget. It allows in a widget
view the Wi-Fi password and copy it to easily share it
to a loved one for example, by SMS or simply by showing them the code. The app
East
available here on the App Store
