Apple has just published the fifth developer betas of iOS 17, iPadOS 17 and watchOS 10. As their names indicate, these versions are however intended for an informed audience: app creators. And this for several good reasons. On the one hand stability, given that many bugs are probably present. And on the other hand security: brand new, these editions may contain flaws which have not yet been corrected by the publisher. To be installed, therefore, only with full knowledge of the facts and on dedicated devices in order to guard against any potential incident.
Let's now return to the main improvements of these different versions, without mentioning the different patches.
watchOS 10 beta 5 (developers)
As for watchOS 10 beta 5 (developers), Apple explains that it has optimized charging but only for certain models of connected watches. These are Apple Watch Series 6, Apple Watch Series 7,Apple Watch Series 8and Apple Watch SE.
With this, again regarding theSeries 6but only for the edition with a forty millimeter case, the battery capacity estimate is now better calculated.
As for technical problems, it is not possible, with watchOS 10 beta 5 (developers), to import FinanceKit. To view the rest of the issues already reported, Apple has published adedicated list(in English, of course).
iOS 17 beta 5 (developers)
With the fifth developer beta of iOS 17, AirPods are now better supported with third-party media players. A new interface for adjusting the volume may thus appear, but apparently not in all cases for the moment. On the other hand, we see many bugs, particularly regarding accessibility and AirPlay.
Coming back to the new features, Apple also explains that additional options are offered for the Photos app and for StoreKit. Developers can also learn more through adescriptioncomplete put online by the Apple firm, accompanied by links to the various properties of the operating system which have changed.
iPadOS 17 beta 5 (developers)
The iPadOS 17 update roughly matches that of iOS 17, as the two platforms are designed together. Expect to encounter other bugs with the Freeform note-taking service and, in particular, the stickers hosted there.
