Earlier this week,we saw what could
what the iPhone home screen would look like if it had a 4 screen
inches. It is thanks tothe
latest version of iOS 6which supports a very specific resolution of 640
x 1136 pixels that this was made possible.
But these first images called for others of course!
The dev. Sonny Dickson checked out what they looked likeTHE
native apps in this resolutionagain using a
iPhone simulator. The results speak for themselves and confirm the
rumors, in this version of iOSnative apps are already adapted
to a larger screen:
So, the home screen, the lock screen, the sharing screen, Maps, the
Game center and others already seem optimized for a screen size
superior.
Notice first of all that the application folders offer in this
resolution to tidy upno longer 12 but 16 applications.
Here, black bands complete the display, fixed by the images
used, to reach the height of 1136 pixels:
What is particularly interesting is to see that the elements of
the user interface automatically adapts to this new dimension.
We can therefore hope that certain third-party applications built with
Standard interface elements provided by Apple could do the same
with minimal modifications.
The keyboard also adapts to this 4 inch screen, here is what it could
give in landscape mode:
Devs among you to give their opinion on the potential impact of this
change dimensions on their apps? Easy to take in
account ?
