With last year's model, Apple struck a major blow on the tablet market, offering a powerful, very well finished and well equipped model for under 400 euros.
But thanks to this new 10.2-inch model, the Cupertino company wants to improve the recipe somewhat. Here are precisely the detailed ingredients, in this complete analysis of the 10.2-inch iPad of 2019, offering technical characteristics, variations and colors, price and general opinion.
Main technical characteristics
Design and case
The design does not change one iota for this new model. It is still made of an aluminum case, in a sleek design with fairly wide edges (especially in comparison with the new iPad Air unveiled in March 2019). Small detail however, this is the first iPad made from 100% recycled metal.

Our opinion
You will have noticed, there is onlyvery few significant differencesbetween the old and new iPad models. However, the new 10.2-inch Apple tablet is, in our opinion, one of the best on the market for its price.
This was already the case with the previous version. It's just a shame that Apple chose a slower first-generation Touch ID. Another regret is the lack of update for the processor chip. Although it must be clear, it will do the trick in the majority of cases.

In the end, the new iPad remains thebest value for money in the range. For less than 400 euros, you get a well-finished tablet that is more than powerful enough for many tasks, including video games.
However, the price of the 2018 iPads has fallen below 320 euros. For very limited budgets, this is still an excellent choice. But if you can add 50 euros to obtain the latest version of the tablet, this will allow you to have two big new features, because there are: theSmart Connectoretthe new 10.2 inch screen sizecertainly designed to last. This will ensure long-term use.
