At the end of last week, Apple delivered the very first iPhone 14 Pro and Pro Max. But several devices have a problem with the rear camera. It starts to vibrate as soon as a third-party application using the camera is opened. Users have even heard the mechanism around the sensor move. This little clicking noise makes the image completely shaky and blurry.
Aware of the problem, Apple assures that this does not require repair but a simple update of the phones' OS. In a press release, Apple explains that a software patch “will be published next week”.
YouTuber Luke Miani announced on Twitter that he encountered this problem withan iPhone 14 Pro. He then went to an Apple Store where the phone was exchanged for a new one. For the moment, no one knows if these tremors will have a long-term impact on the phone's photo block.
Apple assures that one update is enough
In its press release Apple did not give much information on the cause of this bug. Several hypotheses have therefore been made in recent hours. For MacRumors, the most likely thing is that it comes from the image stabilization system. It has been completely revised onthe iPhone 14 Pro and Pro Max.
An update of the elements which would not have been taken into account by iOS 16 leading to this very disturbing bug. This idea is today retained by many experts of the apple brand. As for users affected by the problem, they all have the same question: could this bug have an impact on the proper functioning of the rear photo sensors in the future? On this point, Apple assured that no consequences would be visible in the months and years to come.
