iPhone 14 pro vs Galaxy S22 Ultra: the first benchmarks fell

But already, some lucky people have had access to these new devices and are starting to make them pass a battery of tests.

A notable difference between the iPhone 14 Pro and the Samsung Galaxy S22 Ultra

We compared the performance of the iPhone 14 Pro with those of the Samsung Galaxy S22 Ultra. The Geekbench 5 platform was used to do this and we can therefore have fairly enlightening results. As a reminder, the iPhone 14 Pro has a processor A 16, while the Galaxy S22 Ultra is equipped with a Qualcomm Snapdragon chip.

The iPhone 14 Pro would have obtained a score of 4831. This figure does not tell us much, but if we compare it to the 3433 obtained by its Samsung rival, it gives a better idea of ​​the difference. It would indeed be 40 % faster.

As our colleagues from the site have strongly notedCultofmac, it also appears interesting to compare the performance of the iPhone 14 Pro with that of the iPhone 13 Pro. And there, surprised, the old phone obtained a score of 4659. This means that the 14 pro is 4 % faster than its predecessor.

How to explain such a low difference? Apple had to use a processor made with a 4 Nm process, 1 nm less than the previous year, which limits improvements a little. The most efficient fleas are now produced in 3nm.
