Vision Pro: Apple officially announces its release date

Mid-January for pre-orders, early February for deliveries

No well-being/health arguments?

There has been some debate within Apple regarding selling the Vision Pro as a "health”, thanks to features such as detection of pupil dilation.As we mentioned here, the latter can for example make it possible to detect if a person is in a state of stress. If so, the idea was to offer a quick relaxation solution, including relaxing sounds or images.

A report ofThe Informationrevealed, however, that this type of functionality may never see the light of day due to potential regulatory and legal obstacles. Regulations are indeed very strict when it comes to the health of individuals.

For the moment, Apple does not seem to want to focus the Vision Pro's sales arguments on well-being and health, as shown in its press release published today. Maybe it will happen later.
