If you don't know the game
Skylanders, then your children, nephews and others know
certainly. Launched last year on numerous media and notably on Wii,
the game is associated with an accessory allowingintegrate into the game
video the powers associated with real figurines. These are
sold almost everywhere (even in supermarkets), you probably have some
cross. The game will be available in a new version called “Skylanders
Giants" for this end of the year and on this occasion, he willjoin
the iPhone and the iPad, with its figurines!
We were able to speak withGreg Canessa, Vice
Mobile president at Activision, who told us more about the upcoming
Skylanders releases on iPhone and iPad this time with an accessory
dedicated :
First of all, you should know that Skylanders is already present on the
iOS platform via game
Skylanders Cloud Patrol available here on the App Store, but the new features
who will arrive in mid-November will go further in a game called
Skylanders BattleGrounds dedicated to iOS.
Indeed, it is via an accessory called "portal"that the
Skylanders figurines can be brought to life on iOS
(and even on Mac). To do this, the base will connect to the iPhone, iPod touch or
iPad bybluetooth(well done, this avoids the pitfall of
changing the format of the dock socket).
The set will be sold in the form of a pack containing the Bluetooth Portal
(same size as 3DS portal), 3 Skylanders figures, 1 treasure chest
unlocking special in-game perks (which can otherwise be purchased
in-app), and a code to download the game Skylanders Battlegrounds
from the App Store.
This game is made especially for the iOS platform and announced from
“console quality” in terms of production.
All figurines already marketed for other platforms
will be compatible with the portal and the iOS version.
The announced price is 49.99 euros for availability at
mi-November.
We'll talk about it again during the release.
