Anxiety attack detection would soon arrive on Apple Watch

Little known to the general public, anxiety attacks are nevertheless an illness affecting at least one person in a hundred, with some studies even going so far as to announce a prevalence of 7% in the population. The victims, mainly women between 15 and 45 years old, benefitrarely quality care, and struggling with this type of disorder alone usually only makes the situation worse.

But a new solution, using the Apple Watch, would be able to offer a sustainable alternative to treatments that are still not very effective today. It would be based on the monitoring ofstressof the wearer, whilesleep is also anticipated to soon be able to be measured by the device.

As@EveryApplePromentioned in his video, Apple is working on some mental health features to go with their physical health features.

The two my source mentioned to me as being planned are automatically detect panic attacks and detecting when the user is under stress.https://t.co/bMZhHW4Ql9

Notifications in case of emergency

The principle is very simple: depending on the patient's different vital signals, such as the heartbeat frequency or the blood oxygenation rate, the Watch would be able to detect a rapid increase in stress and therefore topreventpanic attacks. The user would then receive a notification advising them on some breathing exercises to start calming down.

The tocante would at the same time take the opportunity to learn from this scenario (machine learning). So, in the event of a false positive, capturing the same statistics in the future, no warning would be triggered. On the contrary, by collecting similar data later, the Apple Watch would be able to detect the anxiety attack much earlier.

The Apple Watch Series 6 is expected by the end of the year, and should for the first time welcomewatchOS 7 as well as a fingerprint scanner.
