Today, as part of our weekly apps files, it is not a particular genre that we wanted to address, but rather a style, a particular spirit: that of games with an original, worked and often designed design. captivating, capable of creating an emotion even before having begun to discover the playful experience. So let's go for a selection of 9 games (and even a little more) which delight the eye, but not only because they are excellent creations, all are very well rated.
Monument Valley 1 & 2
Each level of this game is a puzzle to solve, but each level is also a board and a visual challenge. Pretty and engaging, Monument Valley requires a lot of observation and thought to understand how to interact with the architecture of each level and thus unlock hidden paths and tame optical illusions. Since its release in 2014, this game has reaped rewards. The developers have now also had the right ideato add new levelsand even to develop a sequel, also critically acclaimed, it is Monument Valley 2, released in 2017 and testedin our columns.
Alto’s Adventure & Alto’s Odyssey
While in the first episode, Alto's Adventure, you have to go down snowy hills, in the second opus, it is on dunes that the player must surf to try to go as far as possible. In both cases, these are benchmark games on mobile, with top-level production, a neat atmosphere and dozens of varied levels with the most attractive designs. Hitman GO
Famous episode of the GO game series, with Lara Croft GO and Deus Ex GO, Hitman GO is a gripping, totally original game. It involves carrying out infiltration and assassination missions in diorama-view levels. Strategy and reflection must be required to succeed in your actions without being detected, while the graphics and design are particularly successful, offering a unique experience alongside Agent 47.
Old Man’s Journey
One of the most striking games in terms of its production, graphics and design. It is an adventure where we follow an old man through magnificent landscapes. You have to solve puzzles by modeling the elements that make up each level. Beautiful music, a touching storyline and a strong narration complete the picture of this very pretty game,tested here in our columns.
Agent A
Adventure and puzzle game in a nicely designed universe and a 60s atmosphere. It is gripping, well written and superbly produced, but unfortunately less known than other games mentioned above. However, it is worth a look!
The Witness
A captivating universe for this game offering an adventure filled with puzzles, reminiscent of the Myst game series. The hero is lost on an island without knowing why or how, and must try to discover the reasons for his presence in these disturbing places to find his way home. More than 500 puzzles to solve, including several that overlap with each other. A game praised for its mechanics, but also its graphic beauty.
Wonderputt
Mini-golf game with crazy graphics, which takes the player into very special levels. They are made in 3D, seen in a sort of diorama, with surprising animations full of details. A high quality achievement in the end, for this game which seduced us, see

OK Golf
Minimalist golf game, which is installed in diorama settings for the most beautiful effect. The graphics and light effects, with the sunset in particular, give the varied landscapes an often stunning appearance and a unique charm to the game. The golf mechanics are classic, but everything is done well enough to offer a unique gaming experience. . More info inthe test published there.
Lumino City
There are many puzzles to solve in this adventure game, requiring reflection, but also a lot of observation. Lumino City stands out with its sublime graphics and hand-designed settings, which give off a very special atmosphere that makes the game unique and endearing.His test can be read here.
Swim Out
Originality is the key word of this game developed by the French. You have to slalom between swimmers to get out of the pool, each level being more complex than the previous one. The principle is perfectly in place, the atmosphere particularly polished and everything very successful. A game that we really like andtested in our columns elsewhere.
