iPhone 16: this detail that recalls the old iPhone 12

The back cameras of the iPhone 16 could be aligned vertically, as the design of the iPhone 12 or iPhone 11 already proposed in the past. These are diagrams shared by the English-speaking mediaMacRumorswho assume it, the latter often being well informed when it comes to guessing the future of Apple mobiles.

As a reminder, the firm is currently marketing the iPhone 15. However, with the latter, the appearance of the back photo module appears as a staggered arrangement. It seems like it's simply a matter of elegance here, but other sources have previously raised the case for sensor size as a potential design factor. For its part, the manufacturer has never really commented on this subject – at least not to our knowledge.

Other improvements for the iPhone 16 Pro

At the same time, other rumors assume that the iPhone 16 Pro will soon be equipped with a new forty-eight megapixel sensor, while only the wide-angle is entitled to it for the moment. For comparison, as a reminder, the iPhone 15 Pro is satisfied with a twelve megapixel ultra wide angle and a twelve megapixel telephoto lens ideal for optical zooming up to 3x (or 5x withthe iPhone 15 Pro Max).

Potential release date

The iPhone 16 should be presented at the same time as the iPhone 16 Pro, if Apple does not deviate from its keynote habits. However, it is not uncommon to see Cupertino devices have a different release date. This was for example the case with the four iPhone 12 models, apparently following production problems.

The date of officialization of the iPhone 16 and iPhone 16 Pro could correspond to the month of September 2024. By then, Apple could also reveal the marketing date of the Vision Pro mixed reality headset in Europe – but nothing is less sure at the moment.

Apple is now the second largest market capitalization in the world, with a value of nearly three trillion dollars on Wall Street. The manufacturer is also considered the best seller of smartphones worldwide,with regard to the period from January to December 2023.
