After months of rumors about
features of the iPhone 6s and 6s Plus, the new features are now
officially
known.
Let's take an overview of thespecs de l’iPhone 6spour
see what has changed compared to the previous generation.
3D Touch
This is the big news of this iPhone 6s and 6s Plus, this new screen
multitouch allows you to interact differently with the interface depending on the
degree of finger pressure on the screen. This new technology introduces the
"Peek and Pop" feature to preview all kinds of
contents without even having to open them.
It is also possible to have access to additional menus on the
application icons, a right-click type for iPhone.
In addition, Taptic Engine technology causes the screen to send feedback under
form of slight pulsations.
Battery and autonomy
This is not officially communicated, but a video shows
the information. The 1810 mAh battery of the iPhone 6 gives way here to a
1715 mAh battery on the iPhone 6s. A drop, but Apple indicates on its
pages that the autonomy remains the same. This is to be compared to the new
processor, which must become more efficient like every year.
Apple needed to save space to integrate the 3D screen with Taptic
Engine. Same for the Plus model, which would go from 2910 mAh to 2750 mAh.
Other features
- Storage capacity: Available in 16, 64, and 128
Go, no change this year, we could have imagined a move upmarket
with a boot at 32 GB but this is not the case.
- Screen: No changes either, 4.7 inches for
iPhone 6s and 5.5 inch for iPhone 6s Plus, no resolution change
either (1920 x 1080 for the 6s Plus and 1334 x 750 pixels on the 6s).
- Dimensions and weight: changes in terms of
size are insignificant (of the order of 0.1 to 0.2 mm in connection with an alloy
more robust and the 3D Touch screen), however the weight changes. The 6s Plus
displays 192 g on the scale, 20g more than the 6 Plus, the 6s at 143 g
price 14 g.
- Processors: the two new iPhones use a
A9 chip with 64-bit architecture (announced 70% faster) and a
Built-in M9 motion coprocessor. The GPU is displayed as
90% faster than the previous generation.
- Rear camera: There is a change there! We
upgrades to a new 12 megapixel iSight camera with 1.22 µm pixels,
against 8 megapixels with 1.5 µm pixels for the iPhone 6. So a gain of 4
megapixels with better sharpness. Optical image stabilization
remains an advantage that is reserved for the Plus model. This new camera
also allows you to take animated photos or “Live Photos” in the jargon
d’Apple.
- Front camera: like the rear camera, this one
also has been improved, we pass1.2 megapixel for iPhone 6 to 5
megapixels for iPhone 6s. In addition, the screen brightness will be
modified when shooting to be used as a flash in conditions
low light.
- Video: It is now possible to film
4K videos(to be avoided on the 16 GB model) with a
resolution four times higher than videos produced by iPhones
previous ones (3840 x 2160 pixels at 30 frames per second), and edit them
directly from iPhone into iMovie.
- Cellular and wireless networks: L’iPhone 6s dispose
a 4G LTE chip announced as twice as fast as on the old iPhone,
and supporting up to 23 bands. WiFi is also twice as good
fast.
- Colors: Apple is releasing a new color, Rose Gold, in
plus silver, gold, and space gray. Please note, the iPhone 6 and 6 Plus are not
suddenly no longer available in Gold colors.
- Prix: The iPhone 6s starts at €749 for a model with
16 GB (639 for the 6), then goes up to €859 (64 GB) and €969 (128 GB). For
the iPhone 6s Plus, count on €859 (16 GB) compared to 749 euros for the model of the year
last, €969 in 64 GB and €1079 with 128 GB of memory.
- Availability: The iPhone 6s and 6s Plus will be
available for pre-order on September 12 at 9:01 a.m. on the Apple website (and
surely the operators' sites). They will be officially available on the 25th
September in Apple Stores.
