Mario Kart Tour will be a free game with in-app purchases on smartphones

Earlier this month, Nintendo made a
big announcement for the field of mobile video games by announcingthe arrival of Mario Kart Tour,

The Japanese firm did not, however, specify an economic model for this
title now eagerly awaited by fans of the plumber with the cap
red, but the DeNA studio which works in partnership with Nintendo has just
let goadditional informationabout this.

It will be a game"free-to-start", which is actually the
term used by Nintendo to designate thefree model
play
, know a free game to download with purchases
integrated.

Nintendo tried its hand at the premium model for the first time withSuper Mario
Run
and its unique price of €10 to unlock the entire game,
However, despite a large number of downloads, the conversion rate
was very weak and few players took the plunge.

In addition, the Japanese firm recorded good results with its other
freemium games, namelyFire
Emblem Heroes
et
Animal Crossing Pocket
, so it is not surprising that Nintendo has opted
for this formula with its future title Mario Kart Tour.

It remains to be seen whether the freemium element will allow you to play correctly without
you might as well go through the portfolio box, response to the first quarter of 2019
when the game will be available.

Do you prefer a freemium game or a 30 euro version for a real Mario
