Released in 2012, Rayman Jungle Run has since beenvoted game of the year
2012, we are big fans! And today he just
go free, this is the opportunity or never to reread the article published on the day
of its release (below) and download it!
Take advantage of it, it won't last:
We discussed a few days ago
the arrival of Rayman Jungle Runfor iPhone and iPad. Surprise, while the
games usually arrive on Thursday, it was from this Wednesday that it appeared
on the App Store.
As indicated, it runs on the same UbiArt Framework engine which
saw the birth of Rayman Origins on consoles and computers and it is not a
Temple Run like, as its title might suggest.
…And we asked for the opinion of our specialist in the field, who was able to play
with this morning:
Rumors wanted Rayman Origins, a splendid platform game
2D, would perhaps be released on iOS. A year after its release on consoles and a few
weeks before the release of its sequel, Rayman Legends, it is clear
that the title is probably still too ambitious for smartphones and
other touchscreen tablets. Especially since Ubi Soft offers us one today
spin-off game: Rayman Jungle Run. Contrary to what its title suggests
believe, it is not a clone of Temple Run, at least not in the sense
in which it is heard.
Taking up the splendid graphic universe of Rayman Origins (less
animated, it must be admitted), Rayman Jungle Run is a racing game where the
character advances alone and where we interact on the actions allowing him
to overcome certain obstacles. The game is divided into four universes: one where
pressing the screen allows you to jump, the second where you can do the famous
Rayman's helicopter (with his hair) to fly, by remaining pressed on the screen.
The third, where we run on the walls and the fourth where we give
punches to eliminate enemies. If the first and its ten levels are
crosses quickly, the following three offer a nice dose of challenge,
never insurmountable but which forces us to restart certain levels. Who
Plus the race for Lumos is at the center of the game since they collect them all
in a level will allow you to reach the coveted "perfect" and unlock
bonus.
The result is as simple as it is exhilarating, the universe of Rayman having
been perfectly "casualized" in the most fun sense possible. What's more
musical style so joyfully stupid and engaging from the original playing has been kept, the
handling is perfect, the app is universal (iPhone/iPad) and we're having a blast...
quite simply. Would this be one of the best games on the App Store? He
already give chances..
The first ratings are at 5 on the App Store… Will Ray Man shine?
on the App Store until next Christmas?
