For Photography Day, a photo captured on the iPhone is in the news

Greg Joswiak, Apple's marketing man, has just published a very interesting photo on his official X (Twitter) account. There we discover the eye of a bird – probably a chicken – captured very closely. As you will have understood, it was possible to obtain this image using an iPhone sensor. More precisely, it is the objective of aiPhone 15 Pro. The device is one of the best photophones in Cupertino, alongside its big brother the iPhone 15 Pro Max.

It was on the occasion of Photography Day that this photo was shared. Other iPhone users are invited to also share their photos obtained with this range, using the hashtag #ShotOniPhone. This is not the first time that Apple has highlighted this type of achievement, since the firm has alreadyorganized competitionsto reward the best in the past. This was notablythe casewhen the iPhone 12s were still in the spotlight.

Beauty is in the eye of the beholder or, in this case, in the eye of a chicken! I love this#ShotOniPhonemacro photo Rashid Sheriff took on his iPhone 15 Pro. What an amazing photo that celebrates the spirit of#WorldPhotographyDay! 👁️🐔pic.twitter.com/YgL2PyCIGr

What is the iPhone 15 Pro camera worth?

The iPhone 15 Pro camera is among the most efficient in the eponymous range. That of the iPhone 15 Pro Max is, however, a little better, thanks to the installation of a 5x optical zoom on the back, while the telephoto lens of the iPhone 15 Pro must now make do with a3x optical zoom.

With the iPhone 15 Pro, users can notably count on an excellent wide-angle sensor offorty-eight megapixels. This offers exceptional details, capable of competing with the big names in the sector including the new Google Pixel 9 Pro which have just been released. The iPhone 15 Pro also offers aPortrait modeto automatically blur the background of a selfie.

Price and availability

The iPhone 15 Pro has been available since last September. The current price (in 128 GB) is set at 1,230.95 euros, which has recently increased.

Be careful, though, as the iPhone 16 Pro and iPhone 16 Pro Max are set to release in just a few days. These devices are expected to benefit from a better photo sensor on the back, so it is perhaps wiser to wait to treat yourself to them. Please note, moreover, that the screen would be larger than that of previous editions, notably going from 6.7 inches to 6.9 inches with the iPhone 16 Pro Max (compared to the iPhone 15 Pro Max).
