The fourth generation iPhone SE planned for 2025 could be entitled to the same battery as that of the iPhone 14. But the battery is not the only point in common betweenl’iPhone 14and the fourth-generation iPhone SE, according to rumors. We should therefore expect to see a notch on the front of the new mobile, with biometric Face ID unlocking to replace the fingerprint sensor. A very considerable gain in autonomy
With its new battery, the fourth generation iPhone SE could benefit from a capacity of 3,279 mAh. A pure and simple record for this range of mobile phones which still presents itself as the most affordable from Apple. We cannot immediately deduce the autonomy displayed in the store, but it could easily reach twenty hours of video playback. In any case, this is the figure put forward by the manufacturer for its iPhone 14, therefore equipped with the same battery.
The battery is generally the largest component under the hood of smartphones. The fourth generation iPhone SE is therefore likely to be thicker than its predecessor, in our opinion. However, this will not necessarily be immediately noticeable. Indeed, where the iPhone 14 is 7.8 millimeters thick, the third generation iPhone SE is only 7.3 millimeters thick. A relatively negligible difference, therefore, especially on this scale.
Potential release date
The fourth generation iPhone SE could be released in 2025, during the months of March, April or May. In any case, this is the calendar that was chosen for the second generation and for the next.
The second generation was announced via a simple press release. It is therefore likely that no keynote will be organized for the release of the fourth, but this remains to be confirmed.
