The new Apple TV 4K is more efficient thanks to the A15 chip

As predicted by some journalists, Apple did not organize a keynote this October. But the firm does have some new features for its fans. In additionnew iPads,Apple has also just lifted the veil on a new Apple TV 4K.

On this new generation, Apple has focused on improving performance. The new Apple TV 4K is equipped with an A15 Bionic chip, and thus has the same resources as aiPhone 14to process videos.

A new processor and the arrival of HDR10+

Thanks to this component, this Apple TV 4K has a 50% more efficient CPU and a 30% more efficient GPU. As a result, we expect smoother navigation and better animations on the interface. The GPU, for its part, should improve the video game experience.

Among the other new features of this new Apple product, there is also support for HDR10+, in addition to Dolby Vision. This way, your television will display images even more faithfully to the intentions of the content creators. And when it comes to audio, Apple supports Dolby Atmos, Dolby Digital 7.1, or Dolby Digital 5.1.

As far as design goes, it doesn't really change. And Apple still offers the excellent Siri Remote with touchpad and voice interface to control its Apple TV 4K.

A hub for entertainment, but also home automation

Apple TV is a very important product for the company, as it is the ideal platform for consuming the Cupertino company's services on a large screen. Among these, there is Apple TV+ for films and series, Apple Music, and even Apple Arcade for video games.

But in addition to being a platform dedicated to Apple services, Apple TV also occupies a central place in the connected home. The new Apple TV 4K connects to connected objects in the home, such as surveillance cameras on the HomeKit platform.

Apple also offers the HomeKit Secure Video function. This uses AI on Apple TV 4K to detect people in camera videos. Otherwise, regarding the software, Apple recalls that this fall, it will launch the tvOS 16 update, which will include new features.

Apple sells the version with only Wifi and 64 GB of storage for 169 euros. The Wifi + Ethernet version, with 128 GB of storage, costs 189 euros.
