If no date, no official information has yet circulated around the Apple Car, the Apple car is intriguing. And for good reason, the project has now existed for a long time – the first rumors date back to 2014 – but in recent weeks the announcements around the “Titan” project have multiplied. Not long ago,Hyundai announced it was in discussions with Appleto produce Apple's famous autonomous car, thus causing its share price to jump by 20%. Negotiations with Kia andMercedes were also mentioned by several sources, without the information ever taking on the same magnitude as Hyundai's announcement.
But according to a new report from investment bank Cowen, the technologies available to Apple could make a difference when it launches Apple's electric car. In fact, the Apple brand is today the owner of numerous patents relating to artificial intelligence, navigation software and other cloud services, all essential assets to be able to produce an autonomous electric car.

But Cowen analyst Krish Sankar also has reservations about Apple's electric car project. The Cupertino company is indeed capable of producing computers or telephones in large numbers, but its production line has never yet proven itself in the automotive sector. According to Sankar, the name and technologies available to Apple could make Apple an ideal partner for a historic manufacturer that is not yet really present in the electric or autonomous vehicle market.
In another hypothesis, Sankar raises the possibility that Apple decides to enter this new market through the front door,by buying an already installed manufacturer. Very expensive, this solution would not be favored by the thinking heads of Cupertino.
