Apple met its audience at one last event for this year 2020. And as expected, Apple announced major developments to its Mac range. Starting with the chip within these Apple computers. M1 has appeared, a 100% Apple chip which replaces Intel processors and offers much faster characteristics.
The brand new MacBook Air would therefore be faster than 98% of computers available on the market. But the Cupertino company has announced that this improvement in the computer's capabilities does not happen alone. Indeed, the use of M1 allows you to optimize the consumption of the MacBook. Thus a MacBook Air offers 15 hours of autonomy in web browsing and more than 18 hours without using an internet connection.
This new MacBook Air is available todayat the price of €1129 for its 256 GB version and €1399 for its 512 GB version.This is €100 less than the MacBook Air which was sold with an Intel processor last March.
In addition to a MacBook Air, the Apple brand has logically redesigned its entire Apple range. Indeed, a MacBook Pro is also available with the M1 processor. It therefore offers an autonomy of 17 hours of web browsing and 20 hours otherwise.In its 13-inch version, the MacBook Pro is available at a price of €1,449 in its 256 GB version and €1,679 in its 512 GB version.
Finally, Apple has decided to integrate its M1 processor into a third Mac model. The Mac Mini. 3 times faster than its old version which is announced by Apple as always being cool and silent thanks to its fan.

Big Sur available Thursday
Apple's announcement ultimately came as no surprise. The brand had already prepared the ground in June during WWDC, by announcing that it had been working on its own processor to replace those previously supplied by Intel.
By improving its hardware with M1, Apple has not neglected its software. Presented a few months ago the new macOS, called Big Sur, it will be available this Thursday, November 12. By mirroring the new components, the new version of the operating system is faster and closer to what we find on the iPhone and iPad (all applications are now compatible on the three types of devices).
