What's new for Apple TV with tvOS 13

The WWDC 2019 keynote took place last night. During this, Apple made numerous announcements around its different operating systems, announcements we have summarizedin this article.

Apple began its keynote by starting withnew features for your Apple TV,available here on Amazon, with the new versiontvOS 13. On the menu:new home screen, the support ofmulti-user,Apple Music, and many other new features.

  • There is now anew home screenon the Apple TV 4K under tvOS 13. This makes content discovery easier. Apps can launch full-screen video trailers from the Home screen. This allows you to have a quick overview of new films, TV series, music and games.
  • Another addition should interest families of users: thesupport for multiple users. The new Apple TV Control Center gives every member of the family quick access to their profile. This allows each user to access their personal queue and receive TV series and movie recommendations based on their tastes. The new Control Center also gives users quick access to key Apple TV features, including system sleep and audio routing.
  • Apple Music joins tvOS 13etexploits multi-user. Thus, each member of the household can benefit from personalized playlists and recommendations. In the new Control Center, users can quickly navigate to the currently playing song. In addition, they can now follow the lyrics that appear on the screen and which are synchronized with the listening of their favorite song.
  • Apple Arcadewill also be available this fall on Apple TV 4K. With a single subscription,family of sixwill have unlimited access to more than 100 new exclusive games, without advertising or additional purchases. And many of these games will support MFi controllers. As a reminder, it is possible to launch Apple Arcade games on iPhone, iPad, iPod touch, Mac and Apple TV.
  • An announcement must have pleased the players: thesupported by tvOS 13, of theXbox and PlayStation game controllers.
  • Finally, we can mentionnew 4K HDR screensaversfor Apple TV 4K. There are notably images of the seabed, filmed in collaboration with the BBC's natural history department, the team behind The Blue Planet.
