According to a new study, smartphone sales are booming again in China. Apple, more precisely, would have seen its figuresswell by 88%with iPhones by comparing delivery results between last December and November. That's at least four times more than other local brands, according to a report signed by UBS analysts. It would even be better than in December 2021, when the previous month saw its statistics drop by almost 50% compared to the same period. It therefore seems that the delays accumulated due to the coronavirus and production concerns atFoxconnare reabsorbed.
These estimates seem to corroborate the statements of other researchers, who believe that current inflation will only have temporary consequences on Cupertino's turnover. So certainly, its last fiscal quarter is down if we put it in parallel with last year's holidays, nevertheless revenues still exceed one hundred billion dollars. What is more, the generalization ofpayment in installmentsfor iPhones, which could be seen shortly, should help restart the machine. Apple offers its own solution to spread the bill, without the slightest interest, with or without Apple Card.
And in Europe?
UBS data, shared by our colleagues atApple Insiderand which we were able to consult, do not discuss the question of the European market in more detail. However, we know, based on the latest publications from the Apple firm intended for its investors, that the old continent was also experiencing some difficulties in recent months. From 50% year-on-year growth in 2021, the company went negative at the end of 2022.
However, our region remains the second most prolific for Apple, far behind America and ahead of China. But within the Middle Kingdom, the manufacturer's positions are quite contested at the moment, particularly sinceAirDrop functionality has been restrictedin a context of demonstrations against the local government.
Other devices in preparation
To go further, know that it is rumored that Apple is already preparing itsnext generation of high-end smartphones. This could see the light of day in September during an event organized in California and broadcast live on YouTube. And from 2024, the fourth generation iPhone SE, more affordable, could arrive in France and the rest of the world.
