The OLED screen of the new iPad Pro M4 sometimes displays grain in the image, which seems to displease some users. But according to an analysis by our colleagues fromMacRumors, this may not be a manufacturing defect. It is therefore very likely that the mandatory two-year guarantee imposed by France in the event of damage of this type is not valid here.
As a reminder, the new iPad Pros were revealed just last week. At the front, we find a brand new OLED display which offers better contrast than the panels of previous models. Apple also unveiled iPad Air at the same time as the iPad Pro M4, but powered by the M2 chip, less powerful on paper.
The problem may not be able to be resolved
Despite everything,Apple Insiderensures for its part that theeffectMura preview on the screen could precisely come from the design of the iPad Pro M4. In this case, Apple is unlikely to offer a replacement device. In any case, this is not the common strategy chosen by manufacturers who face this type of incident, which is not uncommon. Samsung, for example, had already paid the price in the past, also with an international impact.
No need to wait for a software fix either, since the problem would indeed be hardware related only. For its part, Apple has – it seems – not yet taken the time to react to this matter.
The OLED screen of iPad Pros already suffering from bugs
In fact, this is not the first time that the new OLED iPad Pros have been singled out for such problems. Indeed, some believe that they aretoo softwhile othersdo not like the images displayed on the front.
Tiles are among the most expensive components to replace, in case of a problem. But you only have to pay twenty-nine euros with AppleCare+ insurance, otherwise several hundred euros are required in the Apple Store.
