Switch Playground 2: new features for Apple's development learning app on iPad

Apple offers different
ways to learn to develop iOS apps, there is for example its program
“Code accessible to all” which was recentlyadopted
by several universities in France
, but also an iPad app, Swift
Playgrounds, which has just received a major update.

This app
available here on the App Store
and which facilitates the learning of
programming, has just acquired several new features such as
subscribing to third-party creators, but also
new robots.

Users can nowsubscribe to
playgrounds
from other third-party creators, and browse and
download their content directly from the app.

After subscription, each time a new playground is available,
the oneis automatically displayedand the user will receive
alertsin case of updates.

This new version 2.0 of Swift also includesseveral new
robots
, including IBM's TJBot and Mekamon, which are available in
using the Add Subscriptions button, as well as anew
gallery view
which displays all playgrounds and subscriptions
tiers.

Finally, we can mention the addition of aLocation button
allowing you to open playgrounds on the iPad from the Files app and a
new documentationrelated to functionalities and
iOS commands available via the Help button and the tools menu.
