New iMac and new MacBook with Apple Silicon processor on the way

During the last WWDC, Apple announced big news:no more Intel processors on Mac. The firm thus replaces them with its own chips, based on an architectureARM. In fact, everything suggests that they will be the same ones that are already installed in our iPhones and our iPads. And in fact, the first models of computers equipped with this technology have just leaked.

Thus, according to theChina Times, andiMacwith Apple CPU would be planned for the second half of 2021, code name:Wrapped. Engraved with a precision of5 nm,its A14 would be designed as supposed by the Taiwanese manufacturer TSMC. It would also equip the iPhone 12.

The return of the MacBook in 2020?

To this would be added a laptop with a well-known surname: theMacBook(in short). Particularly thin, it would weigh less than a kilogram and could thus dethrone the current MacBook Air as the most compact Mac. The autonomy of the device would reachfifteen to twenty hours: if so, this would also be an exceptional performance.

CalledTongainternally, this model will also be entitled to the Silicon A14 processor, withtwelve hearts, and would include USB-C ports more suited to the current context. Its price, meanwhile, remains unknown, but we may learn more during the October keynote.
