Burberry CEO recruited by Apple

Clearly, Apple has been recruiting hard for a few weeks and the world
of thefashion appears to be a privileged hunting ground.

Indeed, we had already mentioned the recruitment ofBen Shaffer who headed one of the labs of
design chez Nike
and ofPaul Deneve who was
the president of the luxury goods brand Yves Saint Laurent
.
Today it isAngela Ahrendts, formerly CEO of
luxury brand Burberry, which has joined the Apple team as
senior vice president in charge of physical Apple Stores and the Apple Store
online :

The Burberry brand had already made waves a short time ago with
l’marketing operation
consisting of using iPhone 5s to film the brand's parade and
highlight Slow Motion
. We can therefore imagine that the transactions
should already be in progress.

The position of senior vice president in charge of physical Apple Stores and
the Apple Online Store was free for a year following the departure of John Browett
who had only had a brief stint in this position.

Tim Cook is obviously delighted: “She shares our values and carries
the same importance as we do to the customer experience. Throughout his
career, she has distinguished herself as an extraordinary leader."

The only female vice-president, she was already in charge of the stores.
Burberry, which should allow it to quickly find its feet at this
new position.
