Personalize your iCloud with its new interface and dark mode!

Although updates to thesite web iCloudare quite rare, this new version aligns with recent developments in Apple's operating systems. It aims in particular to improve access to iCloud services for users far from their iOS devices, while introducing aesthetic and practical features.

A refreshed and adaptable design

The most notable addition is undoubtedlydark mode, a feature present on iOS since version 13 in 2019. Apple has not forgotten our eyes. Indeed, this option, popular with many users, allowsmore comfortable navigation in low-light environmentswithout feeling like you're being shined by a flashlight. Along with this, the home page can be personalized using the wallpaper of your choice.

Beyond the purely aesthetic aspect, other small improvements are appearing. iCloud Calendar sports a brand new design and supports the Hijri calendar, the Muslim calendar that is different from the Gregorian calendar we commonly use in the West.

Navigation in the Photos app has also been improved, while the Notes apps (a lighter version compared tothe iOS version) and Remindersbenefit from new features, such as the ability to pin notes. Among all your notes, those that are pinned will move to the top of the list. So you'll see them first, without having to search.

Make iCloud attractive without weakening it

The redesigned interface offers a row of icons and widgets directly on the home page, providing a quick overview of notes, photos and reminders. However, these features are not available to users who have enabled Advanced Data Protection.

Please note, if you no longer have access to iCloud.com, it is because you have disabled web access to iCloud data in the settings of your iPhone or iPad. An option that clearly favorsdata security at the expense of web accessibility.

Despite these refinements, the iCloud websiteremains above all a practical toolrather than a platform linking all the elements of the Apple ecosystem. Its usefulness is particularly useful for PC users, deprived of the Apple ecosystem. However, to transform this showcase into a real nerve center, the apple firmwould have every interest in integrating its other services more deeply. Start a playlist via Apple Music, catch up on the latest episode ofTed Lassoor follow a yoga session with Apple Fitness+ directly from the iCloud interface would be a welcome development. The latter would quite simply become the most complete online storage on the market.

  • The new version of iCloud.com introduces dark mode and new customization options for more pleasant browsing.
  • Some apps like Photos, Notes and Reminders benefit from aesthetic and practical improvements.
  • iCloud.com remains a functional tool for PC users, but could evolve by integrating other Apple services such as Apple Music or Apple Fitness+.
