Last month, after a long wait, Adobe launched the iPad version of Photoshop, available here in the App Store, whose reception was mixed to say the least. Indeed, the application offers a very limited number of features compared to the computer version.
However Adobe has confirmed that these missing features will be added gradually with future updates. Their goal is that the iPad version offers the same functionality as the original software on the computer.
Adobe has just published the roadmap of features that will soon be added to Photoshop on iPad.
First of all, by the end of the year, Adobe will add the subject selection tool which will use Sensei, Adobe's artificial intelligence, to better select an object or a person in an image .

In December, Adobe will improve the synchronization of PSD files in the cloud, to offer faster saving and opening of documents stored online.
During the first half of 2020, the selection tools will be improved, particularly with regard to the selection of contours, which is very practical for precisely outlining people or animals. A task that can be difficult when there are hairs.

There will also be new Curves and Adjustments options that will be available. Adobe plans to add more features from other apps like Fresco, with improved brush sensitivity and workspace rotation.
Finally, Adobe mentions the ability for Photoshop to communicate with Lightroom, to edit RAW images in Lightroom, and then use them in Photoshop projects.
