Cloud gaming platforms now allowed on iOS

Apple has just updated the terms of use for the App Store. In recent weeks, these have been regularly singled out for their overly restrictive limits, particularly sincethe case between Epic Games. The studio saw its developer account closed for having exceeded theblockagesrelated to in-app purchases with its Fortnite TPS.

The other topic of the moment is the impossibility for publishers such as Valve (Steam) to offer theiron-demand video game serviceson iPhone. Until now, Apple has in fact prohibited this type of content, arguing that it does not have control over each title published in the catalogs in question, thus sticking to its promises of confidentiality and security.

Rules still too strict?

Perhaps to avoid continuing to give grist to the antitrust legislators who are starting to take an interest in his case almost everywhere (France, United States, Italy, South Korea,European Commission...), the Apple firm finally reversed its decision. Not without particularly detailsscrupulous.

So, if app creators can now effectively offer complete libraries of games on the App Store, they must submit to thesame criteria as other applications. Transparency, integrated payments, SEO optimization: nothing has been left aside.
